ABOUT THE VIP FESTIVAL: The V.I.P. Children’s Theatre Festival is the only one of it’s kind in York Region.  Now entering it’s 5th year this festival has attracted audiences from York Region and The Greater Toronto Area, as well as Barrie, Pickering and Georgetown, totalling 1700 to date.  Performers from York Region, Toronto, Kingston and Vancouver have performed for enthusiastic audiences over the years during the event.  The Festival productions have included adaptation of classic tales, original works and a series of Robert Munsch plays.  This year’s events will include performances for pre teen and teen audiences.

ABOUT VIP: V.I.P is a non- profit organization which specializes in family theatre and fun, and is supported by the Ontario Trillium foundation.  V.I.P has been operating since 1999 with performances for:  TV Ontario’s Don’t Sit Still Tour, Toronto and London Fringe Theatre Festivals, Canadian Pediatric Association Convention, The Stephen Lewis Foundation, The Town of Newmarket and City of Vaughn Family days, school conferences on multiculturalism and literacy, themed performances for Showtime Saturdays, birthday parties, daycare centers and camps.

The troupe’s school tours has performed for over 10,000 elementary and secondary school students with curriculum based musical productions and historical shows.
